Newman is loading media forever

Hey,

I tried to install and run ella locally with manage.py runserver. I do
get in the admin interface. The overview seems to work but if I try to
change any data a popup occurs that is showing the text "loading
media...". This popup locks the rest of the interface. if i disable it
with firebug i can use the interface but the save buttons are not
working anymore.

What am i doing wrong? plz help me.

I had this problem too. I actually ended up building my own CMS. But
I'm interested to here what the issue is

I haven't been involved with ella for a long time but this sounds like
an issue we had earlier where the single threaded nature of the
runserver caused a deadlock when loading media, have you tried running
different server?

Do you run it on Django 1.2.x?

There is a problem, newman still not ready for Django 1.2, please use
Django <= 1.1.1

We are working on 1.2.x compatible version.

Yes, i tried to run it with django 1.2.2. Unfortunately i need to run
the rest of my site with django 1.2 so i cannot switch to 1.1 .
But thanks a lot. maybe i will look into it later if ella is django
1.2.x ready !
