Hi Barb,
we develop ella primarily for our uses, and we don't use (or intend to
use) GAE. If, however, you or somebody else would be interested in
that we would try and work with you in porting ella to GAE, it might
be a cool feature.

But I am afraid that it would really be a herculean task unless there
is a compatibility layer either in GAE or Django.
