Charge Conferences 2008

"As a reminder to all of the pastors, the order of worship was
distributed to you earlier (at the set-up meeting). Carl will be
offering the devotional but would like for the pastors to choose the
three hymns that will be used. Also, please make available for
distribution to everyone, copies of their budget, their nominations,
and the Covenant Prayer (page 607 from The United Methodist Hymnal).
Lastly, please have the technology available to show the DVD.

There is good news, too! >> The brown bag forms “The Congregation’s
Witness Beyond the Church Walls” and “Institutional Ministry Support”
are no longer required to be completed.

If you missed the set-up meeting, the information is available online
(see our blog on July 9th). If you have questions or concerns and
wish to address them at your charge conferences, please forward these
to the district office well in advance of the conference so Carl has
ample time to research and address the issues at hand. I think you
would agree that it is in everyone’s best interest for these meetings
to go smoothly! Also, if anyone needs computer time or online
assistance with the online data entry of the charge conference data,
feel free to contact Darlene for either assistance or district office
