I have installed elixir with built in ejabberd server on 2 aws ec2 instances.

  1. Node1 on 1st aws ec2 instance

    • I started the ejabberd server on node 'node1@localhost' on 1st aws instance.
    • Ejabberd server started properly with console message.. ejabberd running on node1@localhost
  2. Node2 on 2nd aws ec2 instance

    • I started the ejabberd server on node 'node2@localhost' on 2nd aws instance.
    • Ejabberd server started properly with console message.. ejabberd running on node2@localhost

Now I want to join these 2 nodes running on different aws instances to form a cluster.

I tried the command: ejabberd_cluster.join ("node2@localhost") but its not working.

Can anyone please suggest the steps for the same?

Hey Sharad!

I'm afraid you found the wrong place to get help for this type of issue--please solicit requests for help of this nature on the Elixir Forum or await an answer to your Stack Overflow question.

If I were you, I'd post your Stack Overflow question on the Elixir Forum with some context, this is a great way to get attention on specific Elixir usage challenges! There is a wonderfully active community to be found there.

That being said, this particular mailing list is not meant for questions of this nature. General requests for Elixir help will go ignored, since that is not the point of this resource. Jose summarized the purpose of this mailing list well, and you will need to pursue other venues for answers to this type of question.

Best of luck,
@christhekeele
