Dear Elive Group,
I just found out a new thing yesterday. I have installed Elive Compiz version on my Acer Aspire 3690, 1 GB RAM, 150 GB hard disc. One of the most amazing things - a wonderful OS I've ever seen. My laptop looks COOL! Thanks to Elive.
My screen was quite bright after installing Elive which really used to hurt my eyes & I couldn't find out anything to reduce the brightness. Accidentally I found out the following. I thought I would contribute to your project by sharing this with your team.
A combination of
Fn Key + Right arrow key increases the brightness of the screen whereas
Fn key + Left arrow key DECREASES THE BRIGHTNESS.
Now my screen is exactly how I needed & doesn't stress my eyes. As I have observed this only on my laptop, I won't be able to verify it on other laptops. You would be the best to do so.
I would be happy to hear from you your experience.
