Hi Friends, 

Amadeus is hiring for its R&D center in Bangalore with large number of positions. The company does amazing stuff and read on to know more. 

Sitting in India, wanted to book a ticket from Rio (Brazil) to Buenos Aires (Argentina)?  Most of us would not even know the names of airlines which fly between these two cities. After all there are 5000+ airlines in the world !! 

So you would go to an online travel agent (OTAs) like MakeMyTrip or ClearTrip to book it. But does it mean that each of these OTAs have to reach out to each of the airlines to offer their tickets? Answer is NO.  Airlines across the world at one end and travel agents / individuals on the other are connected to each other through centralized reservation system provided by companies like Amadeus. 

Now what does that mean technically ?
  • Number of transactions supported per hour > number of transactions at top E-Commerce companies of India in a day.
    • Think optimization (time/space complexity) , data structures etc. to achieve this through put.
  • One settles more money daily than top Fintech companies in India (supposedly they are hottest tech. companies in India)
    •  Think security , business complexities like complying with regulations specific to each country etc.
  • Storage and retrieval of years of data for diverse needs including to support needs of law enforcing agencies which want to track movements of individuals. 

Does it get more complex than this ? Want to be part of Amadeus ? Talk to previous hires (list below) from Jan/ Feb drive to understand the secret which will help you crack this job.
