INVESTMENT REPORTING and PERFORMANCE Department (IRP)

Investment Reporting and Performance (IRP) team is a department of BNP Paribas
Securities Services providing performances and reporting services to Asset Managers and
Institutional clients. By size and market, IRP is the European leader. Services provided by
IRP include state of the art performances and risks calculations delivered on line or through
wide range of reports (accounting packs, Factsheets, Investment reviews,..) or data feeds.
IRP Global Team Structure is as follows:
270 IRP team members mainly centralized in Paris (173), with 97 other roles ensuring
services in UK, BE, NL, AU, HK, US, NZ & DE
Due to its specific market flexibility requirements IRP has his dedicated development
resources and teams are composed of 50% Analysts (OPS), 25% Business Analyst and 25%
IT

IRP has defined a strategic plan which includes the creation of a Hub in Chennai. Target is
to rampup about 150 roles in the coming years, with about 1/3 OPS, 1/3 BA and 1/3 IT.
Implementatation of Chennai hub is critical for BP2S and it is expected from all IRP Chennai
team members that they provide to the other locations best in class quality service. IRP
Chennai deliverables include:
BackOffice Support to the performances and reporting services provided by the other IRP
Locations,
Performances and reporting services directly provided to clients in the Asian region,
Development and maintenance of the IRP systems (Large majority of IRP systems is developed in-house)

Job summary
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Management of Maintenance

Define IRP Chennai BA budget in line with the overall received budget instructions /
specific global IRP objectives, especially in terms of cost efficiency and ensure adequate monitoring / follow-up
Provide key management information reports on BA activities of IRP Chennai (eg.volumes, productivity ratio’s, quality, etc.)
Represent IRP BA Chennai in the management meetings
Provide leadership skills and set clear team objectives
Review and appraise IRP BA team staff against annual objectives
Service delivery of IRP BA Chennai
Ensure continued service delivery optimization to the clients (/IRP teams) in terms of quality and time
 Monitor closely productivity and cost efficiency of the IRP operations, identify and implement potential operational efficiency initiatives
 Identify potential service enhancements and / or new IRP capabilities based on day-to-day running of IRP activities
 Ensure that efficient escalation process is in place for service deliveries related topics
 Allocation of activities to the team
 Set up and follow up of processes required for coordination with other applications feeding to IRP Systems (BP2S Accounting Multifonds, Hiport, Chorus, DPI – Non BP2S Bloomberg, Factset.. ).
 Set up and follow up of BP2S/IRP processes required for coordination of IRP
developments and maintenance. This includes management of relationship with
Business Analysts and IT teams (Chennai mainly, other locations occasionally). All
phases of development cycle to be included (from requirements gathering to
production launch).

Business development
 Work in close cooperation with the global and local (AsiaPac) client
development teams for supporting sales process and RFP’s

Costing and billing
 Review time allocations (TSO), costs and billings and invoice and cross
charge in an accurate and timely manner
 Track the costs against initial targets and proactively manage changes as
required.

Resource planning & management
 Ensure that headcount budgets for teams are managed in line with IRP BP2S
business objectives
 Ensure the level of knowledge of the teams are in line with the development
of the activities and business
 Provide thought leadership in regards to developing the expertise in the
teams to get to the best Industry practice
