BlackBerry with Windows?

Posted: 11 Jul 2012 09:23 AM PDT

How comfortable will you be with a Windows backed BlackBerry? Nothing is too radical these days and when foes become friends, the new relationship blossoms into something big and spectacular. Concept Smartphone pro Michal Bonikowski sent us his thoughts on a BlackBerry Smartphone hosting Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform. The design not only simplifies the BB but also makes it a more fluid interface with Windows. I like the approach but I don’t think this partnership is ever going to happen, but then, you never know!

Everyday Flash

Posted: 11 Jul 2012 09:00 AM PDT

The Apollo Flashlight is an attempt to blur the lines between a flashlight and a table lamp. Most often flashlights lead a sedentary life, forgotten in some obscure kitchen drawer. However giving it the meaningful life of a regular lamp, not only enhances its functionality but also gives it a dual purpose.

As the designer explains, “All of the electronic components are housed within an inner-sphere which enables a hollow handle. To change its function from a flashlight, the inner sphere is rolled back on itself to become a radiant lamp or directional spotlight. The intensity of the light can be varied by switching on the required number of LEDs.”

Refined Roadster

Posted: 11 Jul 2012 12:01 AM PDT

BMW X MPower concept adopts the same 5.0i v8 twin-turbocharged engine of the X6 (with some added tweaks for more power), but incorporates it into a two-seater roadster for some serious whip. Characterized by elegant bimmer styling at the mouth and a wild, sporty aesthetic at the rear,  it’s business in the front and party in the back for this bad boy.

The Booth lounge chair was designed for those times when all you need is a little darn privacy! A soft hood surrounds the seated individual to muffle sounds and keep them partially out of sight. The removable hood can also be detached for a more casual and approachable look.
