All,
Here are my views/observations:
1. Our "learned" friend has written there EGV affairs are managed by
Property Manager and Builder in absence of an association. We don't
have an association? So whom do we pay maintenance and electricity
bills? For kind information to our learned friend the bills are paid
to "EGV Association of Owners". That is the only registered
association we have and rest of it e.g. EGV Cultural Association, EGV
Residents Committee, EGV Pro-Term committee are built by mutual
understanding and interests of certain owners and are non-registered
bodies. Any decision taken up or instructions given by these so-called
committee/association stands null and void
EGV Association of Owners is run by Surekha , Colliers. Mr Puri is the
association president, Mr Nagpal is the secretary and Ms Gupta is the
treasurer. Colliers property management team are the members of the
association. Let me make this very clear to you that this is the one
and only authorised association who handles EGV matters and will
continue to do so unless we(owners) have 51% registered owners
including phase 1 and phase 2 and then the association will be
transferred to owners via democratic election process.
Next time when we speak about non-existence of the association please
read this mail.
2. Coming back to the main incident on the complaint. Our learned
friend doesnot seem to have the full fact. The incident occurred on
last saturday 6th June. It was notified to Property manager on 9th
June afternoon. On hearing the incident he immediately called the
supervisor and the concerned security personnel. The log book and
attendance book was also brought in. On enquring the security by the
property manager and supervisor, the security personnel in question
admitted to the incident. He admitted the following:
"Around 6:45 the lady in question alongwith her parents came to
swimming pool. While the parents went to the pool seamlessly without
any issues with security, the lady was stopped by the security and was
initially enquired why is she not wearing the proper swimming trunks
and she cannot enter the pool. When the lady tried to reason about why
she cannot enter the pool the security asked her to wait and called in
Mrs Kumar (she was sitting nearby the pool) and asked whether the
dress is appropriate to enter the pool. Mrs Kumar reportedly said the
dress is ok. After few minutes the security again came back and asked
the lady to come out of pool as certain other residents started
objecting her dress code. The entire family left after few minutes"
On hearing this entire incident, property manager and supervisor very
clearly told the security that if a resident doesnot enter the pool
with mentioned dress code the security can request. Even if he/she
doesnot listen then an entry is to be made in the log book. That's it.
One owner doesnot have the right to validate other owner's dress code.
The security further told that a certain section of residents has been
threatening the security and ground maintenance staffs that they are
the association members holding high positions and if they donot
listen to their orders they will be sacked from their job. These
section of residents are trying to create disharmony within the
community. On enquiring the residents name, the security didnot
divulge the names for fear of his job. However a warning has been
issued to the concerned security personnel by both property manager
and supervisor.
3. Regarding the ogling incident, similar incidents has been reported
by other ladies. But for obvious reasons these donot come forward.
Personally i would like to thank Prof Choudhury for taking this up
with property manager and i hope in future other ppl can incur courage
to come forward and report their concerns to the property manager
4. I am surprised to hear that a bermuda can jeopardise the health of
gym and swimming pool users. Please remember my learned friend this is
a residential complex and not a military camp. Rules are good to have
but also according to the comfort level of residents. If some one is
not comfortable wearing trunks and has been okayed by the property
manager why would a certain section of residents object to that? How
can not wearing a trunk create health hazards for other ppl? I fail to
understand this
5. We have Surekha (Builders), Colliers(Managing Agent) and
G4S(Security), all three having rich experience in real estate
property management. Any suggestion, ideas can very well be
transferred directly to them. Its upto them to implement or not. There
is no need to have a committee in between to act as a bridge. We are
all educated ppl and can very well communicate. We donot need
committee who tells that they want to make EGV a better place whereas
their actions reflects "DADAGIRI"
EGV IS ALREADY A BETTER PLACE
