Dear All,

Its nice to have views expressed by our co residents on proposed Speed Breaker . We always  can share our views in favour or against .

But surprisingly - after receiving 3 views ( out of around 600+ flat owners and many of ours who are residing here with family and kids ) , the proposal has been put on hold , with a touch of not taking the proposal in  future too. Builders are happy to hold it and can avoid spending. Any future good/bad will be covered , as we didn't wanted Speed Breaker.

Is it not a matter of collective discussion of ours and communication to builder instead of individual communications. The entry design of our bigger complex is  totally a different one , where , when you drive in/out , you can not have full view of roads and parking area because of the ENGLISH EIGHT design. It is also a matter of more concerned to those  , who are living here with kids and elders .

Idea of vigilance , self conciousness ,putting  signages are  good inputs ,   but more theoretical than practical . These are also continue to be important ,  even after putting Speed Breaker.

Since this is an internal discussion of us , I have kept the mailing list restricted to our Two Groups only.

I sincerely feel that Speed Breaker , widely accepted as important tool for road safety , is good thought and  needed to ensure the road safety within our complex, without any hesitation.

Dear All,

First of all, we all agree that safety of the residents and their kids are most important. However it is not true that all of the habitats are behaving the way they are supposed to. Picture of someone on the railing is an eye opener.

Tomorrow it might happen someone might do a speed driving either in car or M Cycle and there is no way it can be controlled. Tomorrow we may not be able to stop local outsiders to come inside for various reasons.

I think campus is not a racing ground and Speed Braker MUST be operational in all strategic area, mirrors should be put in the bend and internal light should be increased.

Each location, state, campus has its own flavour.

Dear All,

I think it would be a good idea to install Speed Braker inside EGV campus right now. Let's not wait for some incident to happen and then take the corrective action. In this case let's go for preventive measure.

I agree too, though we live in a civilized society where each individual should respect other and should think of safety of all, you will always have exceptions. It is impossible to be vigilant at all times , rather than blaming on the security for not doing their job, you have to build an infrastructure which should handle rash driving on its own.

Speed breakers will certainly help in reducing the speed of the cars inside the complex. As rightly said do not wait for any incident to happen and then take action. Speed breakers will make the drivers vigilant of their cars speed and will be the right direction towards safety.

Thanks & regard,

Speed breakers are a must. It is deterrent and must be implemented. Even in a civilized country like in US, every apartment has speed breakers and yes it is a right direction forward towards safety of our friends and family.

Thanking you with regards,

Dear Core Committee team and other residents,

We should share our issues, concerns to the 16 members Core Committee, let them drive since they are our representatives. Individually, we might disconnect with the decisions but we must abide, specially at this stage, when all our deposits are at stake and we do not have our residents' association formed.

Request to refrain sending direct mails to builders on topics that the core committee is dealing presently. In case if any individual do so then do not include core committee members. It's a sign of fragmentation which any developer will pick up in seconds. Difference in opinion will lead us backwards.

Please note that we are blessed with the kind of Master plan that Keppel has done in EGV, our complex has both inner & outer ring roads, as per ingress & egress driveways, inner ring road is a drive free zone.

Cars of residents suppose to take parking driveways and for short stop gap only outer ring road for which the 2nd access door provision has been given.
We are unfortunate that even with repeated reminders to Colliers, the present Estate team, this has not been implemented.

You will notice that our lobby straight opens to the inner road, and there is no landing lobby area which is a step or two above, from where a the driveway is visible.

For example- See our neighbours, DLF or any other gated complexes. There is an open landing lobby before you hit the drive road.
Thus, speed breakers are must and in future once our car circulation increases we have to implement and abide the proper car driveway that has been created as per Master plan.

Thanks,
S.Bhaduri
