We would like to change our Portal for ArcGIS 10.3.1 Homepage fonts to custom fonts that align with our companies branding and standards. I installed the fonts on the web server and correctly tagged them in a custom html updating the "Description" but the custom font is being ignored and it appears to be defaulting to Veranda. I noticed there were only 5 standard fonts available in the "Description" text editor and I wondered can you use fonts outside of that list?
I kept experimenting and found that you can change all of the homepage elements through modifying the html of the Banner which is accessible through My Organization - Edit Settings - Homepage - Banner - Custom Design - View HTML Source. Some things you can change include the homepage fonts, webkit-box shadows for featured maps, gallery label container, and other things. Below is a small example which changes the font on the Header text and makes the Featured Maps "webkit-box" transparent. Though, there is lots more you can do. Good luck and hope this is helpful. I'm using Antennahouse. W3.org gives no clue how a font name corresponds to the identifiers in the font file. There are more fonts with names that don't seem to fit the font-family/weight/style pattern. Browsing through my Windows/Fonts folder I find fonts with modifiers like Condensed and Narrow. How do I use fonts like these?
If there are fewer then 9 weights in the family, the default algorithm for filling the "holes" is as follows. If '500' is unassigned, it will be assigned the same font as '400'. If any of the values '600', '700', '800', or '900' remains unassigned, they are assigned to the same face as the next darker assigned keyword, if any

That's strange. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Attached are the screenshots of my font library and the message I get when I upload the semi-bold font alone. Still, I don't see them. Not even if I close the library again and reopen it.
Geogrotesque is a sans-serif font. It goes well with Circular, Tiempos Headline, Geogrotesque Stencil, Open Sans and Founders Grotesk. If you're thinking about using Geogrotesque then try 18px for headers. Give 18px a shot for content.
