Dear Alamgir Vai

I have reached Bradford last night safely. I took the train from Airport and reached Bradford Interchange at around 11:00 pm. I asked some of the taxi drives about the hall, but they could not recognize it. I then asked one to take me to a hotel. I am now in ETAP hotel. After coming to hotel I have called Keshav to let him know my whereabouts. Probably today morning I will be able to meet keshav and will have a permanent accommodation. By the by 10 students who were sent CAS letters will get visa today. They will come on 24th. They will be coming by GULF air and will be landed at london. From there what will be the easier way to reach Bradford? Their landing time is 9:00 pm. Also we have to arrange somewhere (in a student hall or in a cheap hotel) a temporary accommdation for them. If CAS letter for 5 others are sent by now, I hope all will be able to come by the end of this month. I have many things to discuss with you and Keshav. Looking forward to meet you soon. Dear keshav, please take a print out of the e-tickets you have booked for me. I did not find time to get a print of them.
with best regards

Dear students

please read the following to come to Bradford from heatrow. Train is comfortable, but you have to change a number of times. I think bus will be better. I am not recommending flying from heatrow. Because in that case you will then reach here at midnight. Who are yet to get visa?

Sorry miss the other point. Please advice the students to take direct bus (national express which  may take 4:30 hours) or train to Bradford (may take about 3:30Hour). They may need to change train number times. Other alternative, they may fly from heathrow to Leads Bradford airport (almost same costs as train).

Please come online (skype) to talk.

Dear Sir,

We are glad to hear that you reached to Bradford safely.
You will also very much happy to know that I along Mr. Hasan Shaharear has received the UK VISA today. We have also purchased and confirm our air ticket on Gulf Airways through UIU. Mr. Dulal (PRO/UIU) himself helped us a lot in this regard. Our flight will be on 9:55PM BD Local time, Thursday, 22th Oct. Therefore, hopefully we will reach UK before the students of UoB. We think your advice and below guidance will be much more helpful for us.

What about Nazmul? Have he got visa? If not why? Try to come SU together. Have you informed your arrival to SU? What is about your accommodation? Is it set? The weather is very cool. Take warm jacket, inners, hand gloves and sweater. Inside the room you have to waer trousers and warm clothes, forget about traditional Bangladeshi dress (like lungi, shirt). Do you know adequtely how to go Staffordshire from heatrow airport? Please know everything clearly before you leave. You will find very few people here to help you. Every body is very busy. Please reply me indetails.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your reply.
Nazmul Bhai not yet get his VISA but hopefully he will get it within two days as he submitted the application 2 days after we have submitted ours. Staffordshire has already informed British High Commission, Dhaka about all 3 of us in details via Email, Fax and Hard copy (DHL). He also book his air ticket through UIU and it will confirm after he deposit the money. We have also talked about him today in the travel agency office.

Now about our accommodation, the contact person for us in Staffordshire Ms. W. Dorota has introduced us with one Landlord who is ready to rent his 3 rooms for us in his house where he lives with his 8yrs son. Its only 100m away from the university. But the accommodation is not a cheaper one we guess. The 3 rooms will cost 85, 80 and 75 pounds each including all bills per week. We not yet confirm the landlord nor we deny his proposal, in the meanwhile we are still looking for more cheaper rent rooms around the university. If we not able to find out any more suitable ones then we will go for the accommodation choice that we have in our hand.

Staffordshire University has already provide us some Pre-arrival guides via DHL as well as Ms. Dorota is in contact with us. We are going confirm the details of travel from Heathrow to Stafford as she will be available in office by tomorrow. We have already received the approximate price list of some daily food items.

I have already finished the enrolment via web in Staffordshire while Hasan and Nazmul bhai will going to finish that soon. The finance dept. is already aware of our arrival and eLINK scholarship.

We also make introduction with one of our Bangladesh PhD candidate here. Hopefully he can help us more, we are also in contact with him.

In the meanwhile we are engaged in purchasing warm cloths from Bonggo Bazar :-) hope it will work for us.

Hopefully we will tell you more regarding this soon. We will wait to hear more update from you Sir. And please give us guideline regarding the accommodation.

Thanks.
Mustafa Kamal

The accommodation you are referring is moderately cheap if it includes all the facilities.  Check whether internet is available there? Living nearby the university is more comfortable than living in a cheap place which is far from the university. You can also discuss with the Bangladeshi student. Here in bradford the rate is more or less the same. I am now living in a suite room  (one room with two single beds, one reading table, one almirah, side table) fully furnished, attached toilet and bathroom and a shared kitchen. It is 80 pounds a week.  Please bring with you enough money to support yourself for a couple of days. Keep all the money receipts (Air fare, visa fee, train tickets etc.)  for later reimbursement. Please keep me informed about any development. Also feel free to ask if you have any queries.

Anybody left to get the visa? Please inform me how many of you are coming on 24th? You will reach heatrow airport at 9:00 pm. It will take another one hour to pass the immigration and to collect your luggage. Now you will take bus from airport to Bradford. Check web site of National Express bus service to know the time table. Don't think of trying  train. It will be much complicated. You will arrive Bradford Interchange early in the morning on 25th. Please take a sleep in the bus. And I suggest to sleep as much as possible in the aircraft, because you have nothing to do inside the aircraft. After arriving Bradford interchange, take taxi to go to etap (www.etaphotel.com) hotel which will take 10 minutes from Bradford interchange. I took this hotel when I arrived and stayed here for one night. Two/three persons can share a room. You will stay here 1/2 days before your accommodation is finalized. Since you are arriving on sunday, we cannot do anything on that day.  Hotel cost is 33 pounds per night. So each of you will have to pay 11-16.5 pounds per night depending on how many of you share a room. . You can have a buffet breakfast over there (eat as much as you can)  by paying 2.95 pounds. Please check their website to book the required numbr of rooms. Please let me know once your booking is confirmed. This is the plan so far I have thought. Once you reach heatrow airport, the first thing will be to purchase a sim card. I will let you know very soon my mobile number here. During your journey from airport to Bradford, Please keep in touch through mobile. If you cannot manage mobile sim card, you can call from public phones. To get coins for using in a public telephone, you can use money changer to have coins. I found one such changer in the airport. If anything remains unclear, please mail me. For the first 2/3 days we will have our lunch and dinner in the restaurants which are reasonably cheap. I will never cook during my stay at Bradford. Best of luck to all of you. I am now in Morocco. Will return Bradford on 23rd.  I heard from Sarwar that CAS letter for najmus Sultanat has arrived. But Sarwar could not reach her. Please try to inform her about the CAS letter and ask her to apply for visa asap.

Dear Sir,

Mr. Najmul reached to stafford yesterday evening. He is ok. Yesterday we also got free SIM card from our University. My number is 07760700092. I and Mr Kamal also talked to Ms. Dot about our travel cost and monthly leaving cost. She told us to give our bank account number to her for producing bank checks. It seems she is ready to do it. We hopefully will get our bank account by next Tuesday.

With regards
Hasan
