Heated people, whether you be central heat, radiator style, or a giant comforter and slippers,
December's proving to be Eli's busiest month this year: the heaviest touring schedule, a new album in the works, the creation of our official Street Team, some more radio and press appearances, and all kinds of other stuff. Let's get to it.
First, we're recruiting folks to participate in our Street Team, and I'm asking you directly, Obama-style. Basically, we need volunteers to help publicize the band's gigs by putting up flyers, getting busy on myspace and facebook, and bringing people to the shows. We'll do our best to make it worth your while by providing free passes to the shows, t-shirts and other goodies, but mostly the reward is going to be watching the band grow and the shows get bigger and better. If you or someone you know has any time and energy to put into this (it doesn't have to be a lot) please write me at ch...@elisoul.com with "Sweet Team" in the subject line. It's so important for the band to have grassroots support to bring in new fans.
Next, the shows. We have a few Chicago dates in December, including a giant blowout at the Hideout on December 26th. We're also hitting Madison, Dubuque, Decatur, St. Louis, and Cedar Rapids this month, so check these dates! Hit up myspace.com/elisoul for all the details, and we'll see you on the dancefloor!

This will be a special show - backup singers, new arrangements of a few songs, and most importantly, it's the last show before we hibernate in the recording studio for January and February. Also, our own Jonathon "Johnny Hats" Edwards will be guest-DJing after Eli's set. Got family in town? Bring 'em!
