Dear All,

I today launch Sudan MedicsPedia, the WikiPedia of Sudanese doctors. Sudan MedicsPedia is the biography of Sudanese Doctors. It aims to document the lives and achievements of Sudanese doctors past and contemporary in an attempt to document the successes and enlighten the future generations with the work of the Sudanese pioneers.

The idea of this project and specifically the WikiPedia style was given to me by Professor Ahmed Fahal some months ago and it has taken me a time to find/adopt the Wikipedia style. Recently, Dr Elkhatim Elyas Mohamed enforced the idea of the project and I am delighted that it culminated in the launch today.

There is still a great deal of technical work need to be done e.g. how to add photos and tables etc to the site which I am learning and would welcome any help.

Sudan MedicsPedia encourages all Sudanese doctors, friends and historians to contribute to the lives and achievements of their colleagues. Sudan MedicsPedia provides a collaborative open forum that anyone can edit and post colleagues, friends or relatives biographies.

To add colleagues enter the name on “Search” on the top right. The message below will appear:

With all your support I hope we will see it a success.

Kind regards

Ibrahim Fahal
