Sudan Medical Council accelerates the registration process for Sudanese physicians trained in USA On March 25th,  the Sudan Medical Council approved the following to its' bylaws: Physicians who hold American Board Certification and a valid State License will be enrolled in the Sudan Medical Council's Specialist Register  WITHOUT any further assessment This decision greatly accelerates the registration process for Sudanese physicians in USA who want to practice in Sudan on short or long term basis SAMA would like to thank the Sudan Medical Council for involving us in the formal consultative process that led to this positive decision that we hope will be beneficial for patients in Sudan We would also like to thank the following SAMA members who participated in this consultative process: Mohamed Abdulrahim Ibrahim, MD, FACOG; Rockingham, NC Ezzeldin Saleh, MD, FAAP; Raleigh, NC Omer Elamin, MD, FACC; Jeddah, KSA Bushra Ibnauf, MD; Khartoum, Sudan Ihab B.
