This is an epic-length, heavily plotted fic that came highly recommended to me by just about everyone. It begins right where Deathly Hallows ends, and remains completely canon throughout, possibly even to a fault. The one large exception to that is Snape surviving Nagini, of course, recovering to teach another year at Hogwarts. Hermione, Ron, and Harry retake their 7th year, taking private lessons in the courses they score well in on an entrance exam. Hermione takes her private lessons in Potions with Snape; something in their relationship seems to have changed for the better since spending so much time together in the Hospital Wing. They are connected by a soul-binding enchantment, the details of which I will let you discover on your own.
I was gifted a couple of treasure maps from Rockstar, thanks R*, and when I went to the location of one of the chests there were 2 other players there and when I opened the chest it was empty. I did notice one of the other players opened the chest just before me.
In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus teaches us that the things that matter are not the kinds of things that clutter an attic or land us a starring role on hoarders. He tells us to store treasures in heaven to store intangible treasures that we are kept in a place where nothing can destroy them.

This is such a short, but powerful scripture. In a continuation of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, the full context of this verse is, Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
From a human perspective, we see treasure in different ways. On Duck Family Treasure, Jase Robertson has shown us how fun it can be to dig for treasure. Treasure that is found buried in the earth connects us to history. It's exciting to find old coins, cannonballs, or ancient jewelry. We created this shirt with a design that looks like a hole in the ground - for Jase and all those treasure hunters out there.
Some people see treasure as nice homes, cars, or a giant 401k. Even if we have all these things, we can't take them with us. Not only that, I've seen nice homes destroyed by hurricanes down here in the south. It's humbling to see something so nice one day be destroyed by air, water, or fire.
Why does God want us to want pleasure? Because it is a crucial indicator. Pleasure is the meter in your heart that measures how valuable, how precious someone or something is to you. Pleasure is the measure of your treasure.

Men and women treasure those things that are in their heart. What is in their heart is impacted by its location and destination. They are all connected together, and they produce our values and principles. Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Matthew 7:24). Those who build their choices on solid values and principles are wisely choosing a destiny that will stand the test of time.
A person with a heart set on worldly pleasures and riches will live in pursuit of earthly treasure while the person who values Christ above all else will stay focused on eternity and store up treasures in Heaven.
Other people may value money more than anything and will go to great lengths to secure and gain more riches. For many people, their success or family is the most valued treasure of their lives, which is revealed in how they spend their time and energy.
Although many people spend their time building up treasures on earth, Jesus wants His followers to store up treasures in Heaven (Matthew 6:20). If a person chooses to build up earthly goods, then their devotion will be to earthly riches.
Jesus explained the foolishness of accumulating earthly treasure since those things will rust, unravel, and eventually fade away (Matthew 6:19). Having a heart for earthly treasure is ultimately foolish because the world is passing away and will be destroyed.

In the previous two verses Jesus explained why one should store one's treasure in heaven rather than on earth. This verse states that if one places one's treasure in heaven that is where one's heart or attention will be. This is an implicit warning, which is made clear later in the chapter, that if one's treasure is on earth, one's heart and attention will also be on earthly matters, to the exclusion of God. While the previous verses stated that placing one's treasures in heaven was wise, this one shifts to warning that not doing so might lead to a life of futility seeking treasures that will not matter in light of eternity. Matthew 6:24 makes this explicit. This verse also makes clear that treasure is not some specific collection of objects, but is rather anything that one values in life.
In the book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J. K. Rowling, it is written that the inscription on the tombstone of Ariana Dumbledore reads "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also".[1] This is taken from the King James Version of Matthew 6:21 or Luke 12:34, which are identical.[2][3]
Pseudo-Chrysostom: Otherwise; He now teaches the benefit of almsgiving. He who places his treasure on earth has nothing to look for in Heaven; for why should he look up to Heaven where he has nothing laid up for himself? Thus he doubly sins; first, because he gathers together things evil; secondly, because he has his heart in earth; and so on the contrary he does right in a twofold manner who lays up his treasure in Heaven.[4]
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. ...
