It would be nice if signing into the app would also sign into any browser extensions running or the other way around. Syncing the extension/app lock would be a nice bonus. Coming from Dashlane, it is the main feature I miss.
Can we get some insight on this? As a developer I often jump between Chrome, Firefox, Brave, etc. When I have to log into a site, I have to re-log into Bitwarden in every single browser. I often close the browser to free up desktop space/memory. Necessitating the need to re-login frequentl.
When we unlock the browser extension, the desktop app would unlock as well (assuming it is already running) and, conversely, when the desktop app locks because, say, the system is put to sleep, the browser extension would lock too.
To ensure anonymous surfing with GoLogin, we needed the most secure browser. Tor, Chrome, Firefox and of course Microsoft Edge did not fit for these purposes for various reasons. We made the only right decision to create our own soft. This is how the Orbita appeared.
Orbita is a suitable browser for Tor Network. It protects your anonymity and allows you to surf the web anonymously. The interface is specially made as familiar as Chrome. We chose Chrome because it is the most popular and is used by most users. But we changed its stuffing so that sites will not be able to track your identity.
This is normal, and registering the browser extension is needed before that particular browser can access your passbolt site. Once that is done, Account Recovery for that browser is not needed again for that user unless you uninstall the extension.
Also, yes, the account recovery process is needed for switching users while using the same extension. There are workarounds to this, but not within the extension itself. For example, using more than one kind of browser, or using more than one installation of a browser. But without Account Recovery, being able to simply login with one extension to more than one user account is not an option at the moment.
Yes you need to re-configure your account every time you switch laptop or browser profile (since you need to configure the extension for every environment). You only need to do it once per browser profile. See. Why does passbolt require an extension? by passbolt passbolt for more information on how passbolt works.
Hi @Garrett_Perez
Welcome to the Asana Community Forum!
I will recommend you to not use the Tor browser for using Asana or to do any personal stuff.
Tor browser is for doing something else not for personal browsing!
I will recommend you to use Google Chrome or Firefox and your issue will be solved!
Try if deleting the webcache folder helps of SketchUp:
Stop SketchUp, delete the Webcache folder in this location:
%AppData%/SketchUp/SketchUp 2021/SketchUp
Change the standard browser in your system
Or delete all caches related to trimble.
Start SketchUp and sign in.
I have been reading through the jxbrowser documentation and it looks like it has the capability to do this. But all of the examples are in java, I cannot figure out how to use these functions in a python script.
But usually authentication for iframes (which is what the browser component basicly is) is done through temporary tokens. Be it stored through localstorage/cookies (with jwt which i used but not for ms). Or by creating a unique and temporary link.
Unfortunately I don't have an update as I can't raise a ticket to microsoft and I haven't got an answer here as yet. For my solution I ended up calling the browser and prompting the user to sign in (for a second time) which is a bit cumbersome but it...
I have been using the logmein windows client for years and this morning I was prompted to update my password. After I did that, I now get the message "Your browser does not accept cookies". My browser is set to allow cookies from all sites. I don't know what to check next.
One of my clients has an ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise with SAML login configured. Last friday, there was an update of the SAML login page and this caused all ArcGIS Pro to fail on the SAML login page.
When I tried to dig into this problem from my side using multiple clients and Pro versions (2.5.1 and 2.7.3) I could not reproduce the error. Important detail however is that my ArcGIS Pro is using another ArcGIS Online org from my employer. Therefore, if the browser component uses a cache, mine would be empty, because I never opened the old SAML login page. The ArcGIS pro machines however were used with the previous version of the SAML login page. I therefore think the browser component in ArcGIS Pro caches some old script files, which cause the loginpage to fail.
Can somebody confirm the browser component uses a cache?
Is there a method to empty the cache (if it exists)?
Thank you for your response.
However, the problem turned out to have a different cause. As it turned out, ArcGIS Pro 2.5 uses a modern browser when the operating system has a modern browser installed (I tested this with Edge Chromium). But when only Internet Explorer is available, this old browser is used in Pro 2.5 to render the login pages with. The recent update to the SAML login of my client turned out to be no longer compatible with Internet Explorer.
I was able to fix it for one machine by installing Edge and applying a patch for 2.5 and after these changes, the login window in ArcGIS Pro used Edge.
When you right click in the login screen, a context menu will be shown, if it's long and classic Windows style, IE is used, when it's short and no classic Windows Style, Edge is used.
Another interesting difference between 2.5 and 2.7 is that 2.7 has a cefSharp.browsersubprocess and after some digging around, ArcGIS Pro seems to be shipped with it's own browserengine and should therefore no longer depend on the OS browser.
It was decided the best solution for the login problems was to upgrade ArcGIS Pro to 2.7.3 (latest) as soon as possible (originally scheduled for this summer).
I bought a second hand EX8000. I performed a factory reset of the device and then did a setup of the EX8000 using the Nighthawk Android app. So far everything works great but I would like to manage / change some settings of the router through the browser which are not available in the app.
I can connect to a hotel or library wireless network using the standard Windows 7 WiFi connection and I can acquire the IP address. However when I start a web browser session I'm unable to see the hotel or library login screen. The login screen where you put in a code of some sort on a ticket that they give you and you continue.
Sometimes with corporate login screen that appear in your browser, you'll first have to navigate to some website like www.google.com or www.facebook.com. The hotel/library wireless service will intercept this request and present you the login screen.
Try browsing to the root url for the hotel gateway. Usually you will have a paper or other guide that includes the hotel name, etc, in a url that doesn't work.Example: SSID is EastsideCannery.rooms-cox (doesn't work manually)root here is cox.comJust enter cox.com and the gateway pops up.Also not all gateways are happy with all browsers. Keep a shortcut/alias for a browser in no-extension mode.
Because your browser is trying to use the cache from the "old" install, and use it on the new install. It's a pretty common thing when people reinstall their OS. Even if you clear the cache, if you don't clear it properly, it may not work.
Hey @swong1 ,
1Password can only interact with HTML pages. Basic authentication prompts are not HTML based, but a built-in browser window which is why 1Password cannot interact with it as it is not a webpage.
However, there's a neat little trick with 1Password X:
1. Create a new login for the website manually by clicking the 1Password icon on the top right corner of your browser -> Click the big PLUS icon -> Login. Make sure to fill the username, password and the URL of the website.
2. Once you have a login for that website, instead of going to the website and trying to autofill, simply click the 1Password icon on the top right, select the login of this website and click on "Go". 1Password should take you there and log you in without even showing the login popup.
After writing a short novel here while continuing with the troubleshooting I figured out that my issue had nothing to do with 1Password X, the website in question or Firefox. Instead it turns out it's one of my browser add-ons that's causing it, now I just need to figure out which one.
Thanks for bringing this problem to our attention. I have create github issue -browser/issues/1918 for this bug and added your Github handle to the ticket. We will resolve this problem shortly, for now please manually save your password in safari, sorry for the inconvenience.
If your browser extension is having issues auto-filling usernames and passwords for a particular site, using .css-sqbyc3--tw-text-opacity:1;color:rgb(23 93 220 / var(--tw-text-opacity));text-decoration-line:underline;linked custom fields can force an auto-fill.
Bitwarden browser extensions have a unique Tab view, which automatically detects the URI (for example, google.com) of the page in the open browser tab and finds any vault items with corresponding URIs. If you are unfamiliar with using URIs, we recommend reading this article.
Selecting the vault item inside the Tab view will auto-fill login information to the detected input fields. In cases where a web page or service has multiple items with relevant URIs, Bitwarden will always auto-fill the last-used login.
Next, we recommend you disable your browser's autofill option. If your browser's auto-fill functionality is enabled, you may experience conflicts with the Bitwarden auto-fill menu. Learn more here.
Chrome and Brave users may check the Override browser auto-fill settings option to disable their browser auto-fill.
