HELLO!
I'll make this short and sweet!
Acts 13: Paul preaches to the synagogues in Antioch about Jesus
Acts 13:42 - So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath
Acts 13:44 - On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God
WOW! I see 2 things here:
1. Paul must have been a seriously awesome, radical preacher!
2. The people who first heard the word were really excited, and word-of-mouth-ed it to anyone they could talk to!
Imagine the WHOLE OF MELBOURNE, starting off with 40 or so people, so excited to tell their friends about Jesus! and the church!
Those people would have probably said "HEY, there's this craaaazy dude who's preaching up a storm! Talking about some Jesus character.. let's see it!"
Maybe your faith is not at the point where you're comfortable in preaching to people about salvation, however that doesn't mean you can't try to bring friends along to church. For many, those Jews would have just heard the word spoken to them once. It doesn't take a fully rounded off faith to ask people to experience Christ. It takes an act of courage though. :D
