It looks like the setup/deployment tutorials got cut from the readme
about a month ago. Is the previous version still mostly accurate? Are
there better docs somewhere else that I should go read?

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm working on new docs and setup/deployment information. I hope to have something in the next couple weeks. Most of the old docs are outdated now.

Is there any reason not to use some earlier version (it looks like 0.2.0 is the last one before the readme edit) until then, then? Or am I better off digging through the source at HEAD?

I'd use 0.4.4 and power though the source until I get some docs up. The docs that were there for 0.2.0 were still outdated. All the docs were written for 1.x.

Bob, although it doesn't replace good documentation, I've just updated some example code to use EDB 0.4.4. It handles shard generation (including an example with Thrift structures), serving and querying from a repl. I hope the README is clear enough to get started. Otherwise feel free to ask here :)

(Soren, if you happen to have time to look at the example code I would be curious to hear what you think of it)

Any updates on these docs, guys? It looks like elephantdb-playground is out of date now (I'm getting errors generating the example shards).
