(1) What teacher or instructor motivated and taught you the most about
writing? An English teacher in High School handed back a paper and said, "you write well" but it was my husband's encouragement and a friend's dare that started me on the road. My sons keep me motivated and inspired
(2) How did this person motivate you? I know it's suppose to be one person but here it is: The teacher planted the seed, the husband and friend, nurtured the desire to where it was strong enough to withstand the elements, the sons - both writers and creative - challenge me on a daily basis to move forward.
(3) Are you still in contact with that person? If not, how long has it
been since you (4) Have you ever thanked him or her for the
foundational lessons they taught you that made you a writer? If not,
why not? I can't remember the teacher's name. I can't find my year book. She couldn't have been more than 22 or 23. It was her first job. I wish she knew. I should search again. As for the rest of them, I thank them everyday and you'll see their names in every book. I wish there was a better word than thank you.
