Authorization issue

Hello,
I've just formatted my mac and after installing tap.tools I can't find
the authorization
panel in the extras... it simply doesn't show... how can I solve this?
thnx!

(i'm on osX 10.6.2, last version of max/MSP)

Have you checked that the file is being copied to the Max5/patches/
extras folder?
If it isn't then check the permissions for this folder - maybe they
are stopping the install . . .
Correct permissions and re-install - recheck that it was copied.
Failing that you could install it manually by extracting the files
from the install package and copy it there.

I went to check in that folder and the file was there...
I've been able to authorize from there, thnx for the tip... :)

Btw, I'm with a max for live authorization, maybe it's useful for u to
know...

What this means is that you have another folder in your searchpath called 'extras'. Max relies on all folders in the searchpath having unique names, so this is why your install of Max is not working correctly. Glad you got it sorted out.
