tap.filter Max 5.1 issue

Hello, I've just upgraded my max/MSP to 5.1 (I was obliged in order to
use max for live) and every patch with
the tap.filter external in it causes crashes of the program... To be
precise I get the crash when selecting some types of filter...
Can I hope to see this bug fixed soon? I'm using it in almost every
patch I've done and would be a nightmare if not...

To follow up on Trond's reply, you can find these crash logs in:

<your_home_folder>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter

Without the crash log it is very difficult to guess what is happening.
There haven't been any other reports like this.
