Hello,

I am trying to use Tap Tools Builder to authorize use of a couple of
Tap objects in a standalone .exe I am building using Max 5.0.7 and
Vista. When I run the builder and select the folder in which my
application resides, it installs a number of files into the support
folder, but when I run the application it gives me the error -
"This application has failed to start because PortAudio.dll was not
found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

When I click "ok", the standalone starts, but I get in the max window

Error 126 loading external tap.tools
tap.pack:No such object
for every tap.tools object I use

what is going on, do I need to do something differently?

i appreciate all help, I am under an extreme deadline and really need
this application to work with these objects, thanks!

Hi Noah,

It seems that the standalone builder has forgotten to copy
PortAudio.dll into your standalone.
You can fix this by hand:
1. Localize PortAudio.dll in your Cycling74 folder. (should be in a
folder called "support")
2. copy-paste PortAudio.dll into the "support" folder of your
standalone.

best,

Nils

Thanks Noah (for the question) and Nils (for the solution).  This is now known as bug #33.  I will fix this for Tap.Tools 3.1.

best,
  Tim
