Hi.

I received my sensor kit recently, and put it together according to the instructions in the box.

The Raspberry Pi contacts my DHCP server end gets an IP address, but it does not connect to Electrosense. I tried pinging the Pi, no response. I ran a nmap port scan for all TCP ports (0-65535) but got no response.

I connected a screen and keyboard and it seems like the Pi hangs at boot. See image below.

I moved the SD card to my computer and looked at the log files, but the /var/log folder is almost empty.

What can I do to get the sensor working?

Hi Mikael,

First, thank you for taking part in Electrosense. A couple of things you can try first:
- Check that the RTL-SDR is working properly. The Raspberry Pi will shut down if it doesn't detect it.
- You could try booting the Raspberry Pi without any keyboard or USB hub and only the screen. In the past, a few users had similar problems with the RPi as it would freeze when attaching certain USB keyboards.

If none of this works, you could try to burn the image again on the SD card. Instructions are provided in the following link:

The RTL-SDR works (I can receive FM in SDR# if I connect it to a windows computer)
I originally booted the Pi without keyboard. I have not connected a USB hub.

I will try to find time to burn the image.
