We are pleased to inform you that BITS-Pilani, Goa Campus is
organizing its Annual
Technology festival QUARK '08 from 9th - 11th February 2008. This
festival is an
annual feature of the institute and is a window to the exciting new
innovations and
ideas from around the country. Here is a glimpse into what QUARK '08
promises for you.

Competitions and Events: QUARK '08 is all about being basic and
showing simplicity in
an extra-ordinary way. QUARK 2008 will feature premier colleges from
all across the
country. The core events provide you ample opportunity to showcase
your talents and
win prizes along the way. Ranging from Computer science to
electronics, robotics,
mechanical and corporate, there are events that test you for every
dimension of an
engineer's skills. Registrations have started and the deadline (Jan 15) is

Workshops and Fun-Doo: We are holding a range of different workshops
in QUARK '08,
pertaining to fields as diverse as Aeromodelling to Origami. We are
having workshops
in the fields of Robotics, Telescope Making, Linux User Group
(LUG)-Install Fest and
so on. The main idea behind Fun-do is to learn alongside having fun
and also to gain
knowledge of interesting technical ideas in a practical setup.

Under the Specials section, you get an opportunity to test your skills
with Sudo-'Q'
(Its more than just an array of numbers), M^+KA (The ultimate Gaming
Zone), Paper PPT
and Open Showcase. For the Nobel geeks, we provide an opportunity to
showcase your
innovative minds in our very own version of the Ignobel.

Apart from these new attractions, we have the Programmers Inc.
(Software & Networking)
Section which includes QOPC (QUARK Online Programming Contest) to
ensure that you get
hold of your ground with an online battle of the brains before
entering the QUARK-
space in Goa. We also have ePhasor (Analog & Digital Electronics) and
the robotics
section, Roboficial. For the Science enthusiasts we provide you with
Elixir; Corporate
events for all budding Managers and many more events to quench your desire for
excellence.

Our Aurora - QUARK@Twilight special events are bound to leave you
starry eyed about
the ways we can make Engineering an Artist's canvas.
