Blood Donation Campaign

 

Dear all,

 

GUC Clinic would like to announce that a blood donation campaign will take place TOMORROW - Wednesday, May 11, 2011 as well as Wednesday,  May 18, 2011 at the Clinic - from 11:00 am till 5:00 pm.

 

N.B.: Donation is not allowed to those who donated during the last donation campaign which took place at GUC on 27/2/2011 and 07/03/2011 as it's not recomended to donate blood before 3 months from the last donation for males and 4 months for females!!

 

BASIC DONOR GUIDELINES:

 

1. At least 18 years of age on the date of the blood donation
2. At least 110 pounds (55kg )
3. Eat a well balanced meal, including plenty of fluids 3 - 4 hours prior to your donation
4. No colds, sore throat or flu symptoms (specific medications and other diseases will be individually evaluated)
5. For females - no menstruation
6. Last blood donation - not less than 3 months for males and 4 months for females
