GUC’ian for Egypt - Blood Donation Campaign

Dear GUC’ians!

“GUC’ian for Egypt” would like to announce that a Blood Donation Campaign will take place on Sunday, Feb. 27^th, 2011 and Monday, March 7^th, 2011 in front of the U-area from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm.

To participate/donate, please refer to the clinic first to perform a pre-donation check-up.

N.B.: Donation is not allowed to those who donated during the last donation campaign which took place at GUC from 14/12/2010 to 15/12/2010; as it's not recomended to donate blood before 3 months from the last donation for males and 4 months for females.

BASIC DONOR GUIDELINES:

1. At least 18 years of age on the date of the blood donation

At least 110 pounds (55 kg)
Eat a well-balanced meal, including plenty of fluids 3 - 4 hours prior to your donation
No colds, sore throat or flu symptoms (specific medications and other diseases will be individually evaluated)
For females, no menstruation
last blood donation to be not less than 3 months ago for males and 4 months for females
