Butterfleye is the first waterproof heart rate monitor that can
visually display the
swimmer’s heart rate in real-time. We’ve had an amazing start so far.
We won
the third prize of the Stars of Science competition, were featured on
the Wall
Street Journal, took part in the Quantified Self Conference in
Amsterdam, were
showcased in the Wearable Technologies Newsletter and organized the
Quantified
Self meetup in Beirut. We’ve also just gathered a seed investment from
Berytech
Fund, and are now on the sky rocketing mission of invading the market!

Electronics Engineer
Job Description:
Butterfleye is looking for an incredible Electronics Engineer to join
its first mission
of revolutionizing the swimming world!
You will work on improving the first prototype and develop the
manufacturing
design. You will directly be involved in the production operations.
You will also be
working on developing new cutting edge technologies for other sports
accessories
we have in mind. Our team is fun, smart, and relentless. So are you.
You must be very self-driven, but also have great teamwork and
collaboration
skills to interface with the consumer research team, the design team
and the
CEO. You can choose to work from home if you have the tools, or to
work in our
cool office in Karaj Beirut, but in both cases you should be mobile.
And most
importantly, you should also be ready to overcome all the exciting
challenges that
come with the startup world.
Requirements
Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in Electronics Engineering.
Defining, modeling, simulating, designing, implementing, analyzing,
and realizing real-time critical electronics systems.
Excellent proficiency in designing, developing and evaluating hardware
and software (C, C++, firmware).
Schematic design of circuits and assemblies.
PCB Layout of printed circuit boards (EAGLE, ORCAD).
Parts selection and testing.
Developing and testing of hardware to meet specific feature objectives
from design and FDA regulations.
Maintaining revision notes on all hardware versions.
Participating in routine design reviews of hardware requirements.
Lab testing of all hardware to ensure features and functions are
correctly implemented
Generating intellectual property in the field of real time
microelectronics and embedded systems.
Collaborating with the designer and the consumer researcher as needed.
Proficiency in prototyping and fabrication a plus including using a
Laser Cutter, 3D Printer, and Machine Tools
Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excited about the Butterfleye project and ready to work hard with the
team.

Location is in Beirut, Lebanon or online.
