Good afternoon Dacien,

I have one of your original SBMS0 with attached Wifi module (Wifi board is labelled SBMS0 v02e).
The Wifi module announces itself as SSID SBMS000 and I've been monitoring everything with the downloaded SBMS.html you made available with the link in the documentation.

Everything works as it should and I'm very happy with it except that I'd very much like to take advantage of the WIFI client functionality to join the device to my home network and publish MQTT stats to my local broker; I run all my HomeAssistant devices using MQTT.

I've searched this forum and reviewed the documentation on the Github site.  I have no issues connecting leads to the WIFI module as the original ESP32 flash has no OTA update capability however I cannot for the life of me get a successful compile of the electrodacus-esp32 code.... (Grrr!)

Is there any update to the compiled bin file version for updating with standard Windows ESP8266 and ESP32 flash tools?

Thanks,

I guess you already know this link https://github.com/armageddon421/electrodacus-esp32
Where is the problem exactly when you try to compile ? Maybe Robert can help.

Thanks Dacian,

I retried this on a different machine and was successful!

Maybe a question for Robert more so than Dacian,

I've successfully updated the "original" WIFI board with Robert's ver 0.3 firmware for the ESP32 found on Github using the "wired" approach with a few jumpers.
I love it!!!  The MQTT support is great for monitoring via Home Assistant or any other similar system.
I very much like the "Legacy SBMS" page for a quick look at the status of cells etc. though the full page refresh's are a little hard to look at. It's been running for a couple of days now.

Suddenly tonight the Legacy SBMS page is no longer refreshing at all.  The stats on the Home page are still updating and MQTT data is still being published so I know the SBMS is fully functional and the wifi module is "aware" of the cell stats, etc. - it just appears that the Legacy SBMS page is no longer being updated with data.  I'm curious if this is something you're already aware of and whether setting the wifi off and then on again might solve the issue (I'm physically removed from the system right now so I cannot try that until tomorrow).

Love the work you're doing and very happy with the SBMS; you guys deserve alot of credit for the work you;re doing.

Thanks again,

MZ

Michael,

That legacy page is not quite properly implemented. You can download the html file from here https://electrodacus.com/SBMS120/SW/SBMS.zip decompres that then open with a simple text editor and close to the end you will see an IP address modify that with something like this "http://192.168.43.97/rawData"  where that IP is replaced with your own. The update will be much better.

Hi Dacian,

Thank you, the html file from https://electrodacus.com/SBMS120/SW/SBMS.zip (when properly modified with the wifi board's client IP) works much smoother; definitiely something to incorporate in the next 0.4 version of the ESP32 wifi board firmware.

Of note, after downloading and modifying the html code the page did still not properly update from the wifi board.  I still needed to stop and restart the wifi board via the device settings on the SBMS0 panel.

Michael,

The same file is incorporated in the ESP32 is just it can not deliver that properly.  When I designed that file was designed to be outside the ESP32 so that ESP32 will only need to send the raw data and then people can modify this external file the way they want using just a text editor.
There is I think a bug the Robert is aware of and he will try to fix it.
