Hi again.

My other project is re-using three ex VW EV batteries I've managed to find. These are currently setup as 12S2P batteries, which ends up being 44V. I'll be pulling them apart and going for 7S10P for the correct voltage.

These are MNC 713 chemistry lithium prismatic pouches at 3.7v nominal and 70Ah capacity.

Will I need to setup a custom battery profile, or could I re-use the LiCo setting?

Cheers,
Morgan

Morgan,

The default type 2 setting should work great if you want long battery life as that has a max charge limit set at 4V for 2x to 3x higher cycle life than going to 4.15V as charged in an EV at 100% SOC
EV's only require about 400 to 500 cycles at 100% to deal with the warranty thus the reason they prefer NMC.

Awesome. I'll keep the same settings then! I'll be going from a 170Ah pack to a 700Ah pack so will also look at adding more panels to help charge them back up, as well as replacing my existing DSSR0s with the new diversion capable units for future proofing as we'd like to look at getting a hot water cylinder.

Cheers,
Morgan
