hello everyone, hope all is well. i am using cat 6e cable for my shunts, i had them wired without ferrules and that seemed ok. cat 6e is stranded wire. i installed ferrules and cant keep them in the connector, any tricks? i dont want to force them in and break them off in the connector. thank you john

John,

What model of ferules did you get ? Maybe they are to short thus do not reach the spring connector part and it may be the reason they are pushed out.

The only good answer is that these connectors are made for solid wire.

John.  I had the same problem trying to get .5mm ferrules into the SBMS0 connector.  After the problem I had with Cat 6 solid wire I went to 20 ga stranded wire and soldered the ends.  Carefully soldered ends on 20 ga wire will fit the SBMS0 connector, and for me provided a much more secure connection between the SBMS0 and battery.  Full description of problem with Cat 6 wire and solution in an earlier post.  Dave
