16x EVE MB31 in series with 2x SBMS0?

I'm contemplating a 48V system using 16x EVE MB31. From what I understand, SMBS0 can do up to 8s. Can two SBMS0s be linked to cover 16s or is there another way to tackle this?

While it can be done quite a bit of the functionality will be lost so not a good idea. The two SBMS0 will not share information so is like having two 24V batteries that do not care about each other.
So for example one of the 16 cells will be first to be fully charged and the SBMS0 where that cell happens to be will know the pack is fully charged and stop charging and set the SOC to 100% correcting any SOC error that accumulated since last full charge. While the other SBMS0 will have no idea why charging stopped and will not be able to update his SOC thus just one of the SBMS0 will display the correct SOC.
Is there a reason you want to go with 48V?   16cells EVE is not that large of a pack capacity to get any advantage on going with 48V over 24V 8s2p

My battery is also made with 16x EVE cells just the older 280Ah cells. The photo is from 2022 when I set this up and it works great since. EVE cells are decent.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm trying to figure out which Victron inverter/charger to get for my mobile setup. My worst case scenario power audit had a bit over 5kW. That's the max Victron offers for 24V. Any larger power output for 120V plugs is for 48V, unfortunately. The truck is 24V so that would be the preference for the inverter if I can find one with a bit more watts.

I have a 3.5kW inverter and it works great for my needs. Are you sure you need more than a 5kW inverter ?  You can of course parallel inverters for more but battery will start to struggle above 5kW so you will also need to increase the battery size no matter if you go for 24 or 48V.

One major advantage of 48V over 24V is that 48V inverters are far cheaper; that price difference is enough to buy almost 8 extra Eve cells.

I watched a Victron webinar that mentioned that's it's not a good idea to be at its max capacity for extended periods of time despite calling it "Max Continuous Output", lol! That's what triggered the interest in a a larger 48V inverter. Despite some of the advantages of 48V, I'm leaning towards the 24V system so my simple novice brain can cope, and the truck is on 24V. Just have to remember not to turn everything on to full power at the same time.
