Are your products manufactured in Canada or…?

I’m in the USA and trying to figure out a shipping workaround. I’m talking with Canadian parcel forwarders, and they’re assuming the SBMS0, etc are made in China. I assumed Canada. Is either of us right?

It is made in Canada but there is no writing on the item related to where it is manufactured.

I have my small production at home with a small pick and place machine and reflow oven. I use the same setup I got about 10 years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xokplyu6iMI&t=76s except for reflow oven that was upgraded.

Not sure if it will help with taxes if it is made in Canada.

I shipped with UPS to US a few weeks ago and while it mentioned that there will be a tax at delivery it seems it was not.

I just asked the person I shipped a new SBMS0 + a repaired SBMS0 with UPS and he mentioned that he did not needed to pay anything. I declared it as made in Canada so maybe is under CUSMA and there are no taxes for this.

Maybe I will remove the shipping limitation to US next week and ship with UPS once every 10 days or so (not very convenient for me as I need to drive about 160km (100miles) to UPS) and see if there is consistently no tax.

That would be fantastic if you do. I want to get the SBMS0, WiFi/USB, DSSR50, DEXT, and Wyse for a camper van build I’m doing.

The Wyse (Dell) minicomputer is made in China so maybe there will be some tax for that one.

I will have some time next week to setup the webpage to show I can ship with UPS to US but shipping is the same as with postal service so you can order anytime you want even before I modify the page. Not sure when I will be able to get to UPS as it depends on weather. There should be some snow next week but should be able to ship around the end of the month.

Update to the parcel sent with UPS to US. He has received a bill from UPS but total tax was reduced to $6 so it is not much for a new SBMS0 and a repaired SBMS0.
