Will harm come to the SBMS0 if the main battery negative is disconnected perhaps even under load?

The SBMS0 will not be harmed but your Loads or charge sources may be harmed.
If for some reason you want to disconnect the negative side instead of the positive side you will need to respect the same rule meaning that charge sources should be disconnected separately from Load sources.
So you will need to have a disconnect switch or trip circuit breaker that has two separate circuits one for Loads and one for charge sources.
For example the DSSR20 is a ideal diode + solid state relay so if you disconnect the negative from battery but leave the DSSR20 (a charge source) connected to any sort of load say an inverter then since SBMS0 has no idea you disconnected the battery negative and also the DSSR20 has no idea that happened then output from DSSR20 that will be the same or close to max open circuit voltage from panels will likely damage the inverter (depending on his level of tolerance) and or other type of loads.
So you need to have separate circuits when disconnecting multiple devices and I do not see the advantage of disconnecting from negative instead of from positive just after the current shunts.
