Patreon for Dacian

Dacian I think it would be awesome if you started a Patreon.  I would be the first to sign up!    I would love to help support you so you can make more amazing SBMS's or may be other products designed for off grid use.  You always design things from a practical standpoint not a corporate one.  You also take so much time communicating with the everybody.  I think many of us would be happy to donate money for that alone.  You more than deserve it.  That would also give people a place to discuss everything. You should really think about it.  It makes so much sense!!!!

Thanks that is very generous but I'm more of an all in one designer and manufacturer so I do have a profit from that (it was not always the case in the first few years but now it is fine).

I do not feel like Patreon and similar services apply to what I do as I no longer make youtube videos or offer any similar learning or entertainment services other than providing support for products that I sell.

If I were to just design open source hardware and software (not manufacture them) then Patreon or similar services will make total sense.

Not sure how much management your order system takes and I know Patreon takes a cut.  You could add an order item for say $10 and we can order the quantity of goodwill we want.

My order system is very simple based on paypal so just a website that I made in a text editor and when I get each payment I keep the record manually in an equivalent excel spreadsheet (LibreOffice Calc).

While I'm not familiar with Patreon it is just not applicable to what I do. Is mostly for artists, nonprofits, tutorials and education according to their own webpage and while I do some education is mostly as part of the devices I design produce and sell.

I'm just saying that since you already have an order system it would be relatively simple to add an item so people like us can make contributions.
