I am excited to start building my new system.  Step one for me is to balance all my cells, I have LifepO4 in a 4S setup, checked all wiring, cell voltages displaying correctly to individual cell voltmeter readings.  SBMS0 set to  1LFP with cell count to 4, NO changes to any advanced settings.  Stored changes, power cycled SBMS, and checked that changes were stored.

Charging at 14.4V  5A, but monitoring shows NO cell balancing is occurring even though (IMHO) the differential across cells require a balance.  Any assistance welcomed!

I think you need positive amps going into the battery to start balancing, not just positive amps from your charger.  Right now your load is a little higher than the charge, so it's negative going into the battery.

I guess your shunts are connected incorrectly. A photo on how the shunts are installed will be useful. Also you likely did not set the shunt resistance value in the SBMS0 menu.

I have a Victron Multiplus on the way and will be using that for next round of testing.  Appreciate the suggestion and if I continue to have the issue will post here.  BTW, I did double check the wiring on the shunt, however did not check the resistance value so will do that.

Got it figured out...short story is that apparently the 5A charging source was not providing sufficient power to allow the cells to balance.  When I hooked up my Victron Multiplus 12/3000 all working fine now!
