I want to do layout design with 45nm technology. I think mocmos design rules are for 90nm and above technologies.

And tell me what is the minimum technology we can do in electric.

Please help me with this question.

Thank you in advance

Someone else (like a developer of Electric) can probably better answer that.

If you check Technology->Scale in File->Preferences [
http://www.staticfreesoft.com/jmanual/mchap07-02-01.html ], I think the
default scale is 300 nm for mocmos. So my guess is that the design
rules are for 300 nm.

It is very likely that others have added the 45 nm technologies to
Electric, but are kept as company trade secrets such that they are not
available to the public [
http://blog.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cad.electric.discuss/month=20110101 ].

So you likely have to create the technology yourself [
http://www.staticfreesoft.com/jmanual/mchap08-01.html ], but it might be
a daunting task for 45 nm [
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cad.electric.discuss/670 ].
