Hi,

I need a help in downloading in TSMC 45nm PDK or any other Free PDK to run my circuit simulations in Electric

Please if you could point me to a link or any other source as how to download the free PDK available

Also i am looking if the PDK has both thin gate and thick gate devices to run IO circuits ( Basically having Level up shifters say from 1V to 2.5V and IO Drivers etc)

Thanks
Lingraj

As far as I know, Electric still does not have a 45nm Technology.  So after getting design rules and other information, you would have to create it yourself.  Electric has a Technology creation wizard:

TSMC 45nm PDK (most likely for commercial Cadence software [ https://www.cadence.com/ ]) you can likely get from whomever you sign the NDA with.  Refer to the two links:

For FreePDK45 information, see:

For GPDK04 information, see:

Hi Gavin,

Thanks for the quick response.

I had one question does FreePDK45 has the thick gate devices say for ex: 2.5V, 1.8V etc IO devices

Thanks and Regards

Dear Lingraj,

Can we work together the 45nm FreePDK and create the design rule? I am interested also to similate design based on these technology.

Needless to say, I am interested in this, too. If someone can create an IP-free 45nm process, I'll add it to the system. I'm willing to help with the creation, too.

Hi Joselito ,

Yaah sure i can work with you to get these models installed.

Actually i am new to Electric so it would be good to have this experience.

Thanks and Regards
Lingraj

Dear Lingraj,

Can you share via drop box the 45nm PDK so we can cooperate to create the design rules, we have the support also from Steven Rubin.

Best Regards,

Joselito

But thing its asking official email id for registration.

Currently i am not working so its difficult for me to download.

If you have official email id you can try downloading it and also please let me know.

Thanks and Regards

Oklahoma State also had a FreePDK45 release, iirc:

What needs to be done?
