Hi to Erik, and my EV Friends!

I just wanted to put in perspective some growth elements.

Nissan Canada has installed a new Level 3 DC Quick Charger at their Mississauga facility, although I have not seen anything official as an announcement – it has been verified as installed and the PlugShare listing is updated with it here: http://api.plugshare.com/view/location/10915.

If anyone can do further research on this, and let me know – I can share it to our followers! Anyone with a LEAF (Or iMiEV) can access it, and verify it is operational, if they have the CHAdeMO plug on their vehicle!

Now that I am a proud (and ecstatic) driver of a new, silent, 2012 Nissan LEAF, I can tell you how easy it was to get my $8500 Ontario EV Rebate.

Yes, the Maple Nissan salesman did it all for me ... all that I had to do was sign a piece of paper allowing him to make the application on my behalf.  And, the best part was that the $8500 from the Ontario government was considered my down payment, so I didn't even have to make a down payment.  My first lease payment and licence was all that I paid and I drove away in this powerful, totally silent burgundy Electric Car.

BTW, Nissan matched the Ontario rebate with an additional $8500 discount (plus another $1200 "Employee Discount"), which made it virtually impossible to walk away without closing the deal. He even threw in free oil changes for the life of the car (free spark plugs, too!)!

Amazing!!  And, I love the full Electron Tank every single morning.  No Range Anxiety in this household!!  Just lots of silent driving!

Oh, and read the last line of my signature, below ... the part about my "Engine" ...

Thank you for caring about the environment for our children and grandchildren ...

Hi all,

In my research – I see a lot of dealers leave the EV Incentive application and rebate up to the buyer – but the rebate CAN be processed by the dealer:

From the Ontario Electric Vehicle Incentive Program web page http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/vehicle/electric/electric-vehicles.shtml :

How do I receive my incentive?

There are two ways to receive the incentive. The automobile dealer can apply the incentive at the point-of-sale and then submit the incentive application on your behalf. Alternatively, you can purchase the vehicle at full price and apply directly for the incentive by completing the application form and submitting it to the Ontario Ministry of Revenue.

If you want to buy an EV and have the incentive rolled into the Post Tax Purchase Price as a Price Reduction – it Can be done – if paying Cash or Financing.
