This thing is a beast but I need to see how it does for a week without power!

I have had a Honda 6500KW for the last 10 years and never had an issue. My parents are getting older and needed something for the occasional power outage. We decided to give them the Honda and upgrade to the 10000KW since we live on a farm and tend to lose power often. Wanted a few more KW's to handle week long outages.
Yes it is heavy. Shipping Bill was 322 pounds. Had to use the John Deere loader to lift it out of the truck. Better have a few buddies and some beer to help out! Wish it had the lift hook on the top like the Honda? The larger units do have it.
Tires and frame are more than adequate for this beast. No need to worry about the tires losing air.
Folding lift handles are nice. Had to lube the release button due to sticking in. Filling the oil and attaching the battery are a challenge, same goes for the Honda. Buy a funnel with a nice long flexible nozzle.
When it starts there are LED lights that light up the panel, easy to see at night. Plus, a built in power charger unit for the battery. Instructions tell you not to leave it charging for more than 48 consecutive hours. Outlet timer for a couple hours a day. Plus a 10 gallon tank compared to a 5 gallon tank. Last of all, the air filter has an adjustment for summer and winter to avoid ice build up on your air filter when it is cold. This unit provides a 50 Amp plug as compared to my 30 Amp. Not that we need 50 but it is there just in case.

No-Start on this Generac out of the box.

While the generator showed up ahead of schedule and the delivery service was great. After working through the pre-start checklist and unpacking, the generator is a no-start. Won't even engage the starter. As in, dead on arrival. battery connected and charged, replaced spark plug, checked fuses, wiring, gas, oil, gas feed, choke, start button. Nothing is missing here.
Called Generac support and they were no help. Lady told me she didn't even have a trouble shooting guide for the model. Referred me to a local service agent. Called several service agents and left voicemails, heard from nobody. Ridiculous.

Not too happy

Would not hold a constant output. Had to pay for a repairman to come out even though it was under warranty.
