maps outdated?

Looks like the GIS data that we got is quite old. It represents the
constituencies of the previous elections.

For example, compare our map with the map given of election commission.

Dear Anand,

We got the data from the ec site. 

http://eci.nic.in/GisLayers/gis_layers.asp

I looked at it and it looks fine. 

The pdf has the district boundaries also. But the PC seems to match with what we have. 

We have 47 PC in our map and the pdf has 47 PCs as well. 

I think they are fine.

I don't think so.
Look at the top right corner. we have a constituency named "bhandara"
and in the eci site it is called "BHANDARA-GONDIYA" and part of it
went to "GADCHIROLI-CHIMUR".

And if look at the right border, we have 3 constituencies "bhandara",
"chumur" and "chandrapur", but the eci map has only 2,
"BHANDARA-GONDIYA" and "GADCHIROLI-CHIMUR".

OK, there are some changes in boundaries. 

The map will have to be edited slightly. 

It is laborious. But we can go with it for now. 

Anand has written to ec for new data. 

Let's see if we can get it.
