Rakshak Foundation is pleased to inform you that we are engaging students from elite educational institutes to work on summer social research projects in the area of public policy and good governance. We are glad to open this internship opportunity to you as a student of IIT - Delhi
About Us:
Rakshak Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by the Alumni of India's elite educational institutes like IIT's and IIM's, based in California, USA with a sister organization in India. Rakshak foresees citizen awareness and participation in governance as the first step in understanding and resolving the most pressing social issues in India like corruption, education, health, accountability, efficiency and transparency etc. The highly dedicated think tank at Rakshak Foundation does analysis and research on various public policy issues including Parliamentary bills and provides recommendations to decision makers. In the last few years, Rakshak Foundation has been invited 10 times by the parliamentary committees for oral depositions.
Internship Program:
Summer Internship program is a very structured and rigorous professional development program intended to provide students with first hand exposure to policy issues, governance and in turn, advance Rakshak Foundation’s goals of achieving citizen awareness and participation for social good. The program engages exceptionally motivated students from diverse backgrounds on research projects spanning the following research areas:
- Legal and Social Research.
- Accountability and Responsibility in Journalism.
- Promoting Responsible Citizenry.
- Improving Quality of Life-Infrastructure, Traffic, Pollution and Basic Necessities.
- Improving Accountability, Efficiency and Transparency of Public offices.
- Nationalism, Social Responsibility and Civil Society through Education.
- Promoting positive aspects of our culture and society.
This program also strives to provide students with a sense of success and accomplishment, which will enhance their self-esteem and may motivate interest in their academic subjects and activities. The focus of the program is for students to learn about the vast opportunities available for them to make a positive impact in the society with limited time and resources.

Stipend: Paid
Work Place: IIT Delhi
Duration: 2 Months
