I have a surface pro running windows 10 home. I cannot uninstall Norton because the 'select your uninstall preference' window does not display the data completely - the radio buttons are not displayed (these are still to the right of the window. The window cannot be resized. I have seen this issue raised elsewhere on the forum, but no solution was found and then the issue was 'closed'.

How are you trying to uninstall Norton? From Windows Apps,or using the Norton Removal and reinstall tool ? I would suggest the removal tool. Download and run using the Advanced Options > Remove only. www.norton.com/nrnr

This is usually related to your display settings being set for greater than 100% magnification. Check your settings and temporarily reset them to default and then try your uninstall again. You can restore your display settings after the uninstall.

Not the solution. I saw that this was your recommendation on the previous closed thread on this, but the OP did not accept that as a resolution and nor do I. As did the OP in the original thread, I tried resizing and it did not work.

Besides you have not answered the question which was "if I can't resize the 'select your uninstall preference' window to allow me to select a radio button option, how else can I uninstall Norton?" This is the answer I am after please.

Update - I meant that I tried and adjusted the display settings as you mentioned to no avail. But the original question remains unanswered which is "if I can't resize the 'select your uninstall preference' window to allow me to select a radio button option, how else can I uninstall Norton?"

Your Uninstaller is an useful uninstaller utility to manage all programs in an easy and fast way. Now supporting Windows 7 (both 32 and 64bit) and featuring a straightforward clean interface. Your Uninstaller works the way you think, making it easier than ever to uninstall programs quickly, efficient and completely. With advanced system scanning algorithm, Your Uninstaller can easily remove any program installed on your computer - completely, no trace left.
The interface is attractive and handy, whether you run in Basic or Pro mode. Your Uninstaller is a user-friendly way of removing unneeded applications on your computer. It can even remove some annoying spywares! It's as easy as using the recycle bin. what you need to do is just drag-drop and the program you don't want will disappear from your computer - as well as everything the unwanted program brings.

I had a feeling this application would be full of bloat and garbage when I was forced to use it by one of my customers. This particular customer uses it due to (quote unquote) "HIPAA compliance" which I find funny given the issue at hand here compromises data.

This app does nothing for me and I am assuming does nothing for most customers in their need to use the client (and only the client). My pro account has no license to run the LMI server, I have no reason to run one anyway, and finally; it installed the Control Panel as a service to run on every Windows startup only to nag me to tell me that "Setup is not complete" due to the fact that when I log into it with my Pro account it explicitly tells me I don't have a license to apply to this PC.

And finally; where is the uninstaller for "Control Panel"? I uninstalled Client cleanly using the uninstaller from Win 10 Settings -> Apps & Features. Restarted the system because the stupid LMI Guardian and Control Panel services were still sitting there running and guess what? Both still running. Still configured to run at startup under services and msconfig.

Thanks, now I can have fun manually removing the leftover services, bloat, files, and registry entries. This is exactly why Windows is so unreliable and erratic.. devs who release applications full of bloat that leave behind tons of registry entries, a useless set of services, and a couple folders full of files.

Fixed completely by restoring the system to a full backup from 3/2/20 although I did note the ways to manually uninstall the software, which has to be done via a command line switch that logmein doesn't have the regular uninstaller use when you decide to uninstall the normal way.

To get around the trouble of using this software, I downloaded "LogMeIn Client (USB drive)" to my disposable Windows 10 Pro VM (my cesspool of a sandbox), installed to a blank USB drive, which I passed through to the VM, since the installer doesn't let you simply extract the files where you want them.. even in the "portable" edition. I then copied the folder, LogMeInIgnition, from the USB root dir to where I wanted it on my VM/Sandbox and I can just run LMIIgnition.exe whenever I need to use this rubbish utility.

Hi, I am not a developer and I am completely lost with the workflows. The other day I was trying to uninstall an app with AppZapper and thought it would be cool if I could do this with Alfred. It actually work if I look for an App, select it, and open with AppZapper, but it requires a couple of steps, which could easily be avoided with the workflows (I suppose that was the idea).

The action would be triggered when I type 'Uninstall', then I type and select the app I'd like to uninstall and press enter to open it AppZapper (for people using another uninstaller, then they could also customise the workflow to use another one, I suppose).

How do I uninstall dropbox from my desktop (windows 10) without losing any of my own files? I only installed it last week but I don't like it and I can't save files into my original folders. I find it very confusing and just want to get it off my computer. Any help gratefully received. Thanks Romy

Hey @Romyo, thanks for joining our Community and happy Friday!

If you made sure that the app has finished syncing and it's showing 'up to date' in your system tray, you can go ahead and uninstall it using these steps.

Your files won't be affected during that process and will remain in your Dropbox folder, which will be a local copy of your Dropbox files.

I hope this helps, Romy!

I'm trying to uninstall Dropbox from my computer, and then delete files from my Dropbox account online. I've found a few forums that provide some instruction about deleting the dropbox folder from your computer without deleting your files, but I haven't been successful in trying to follow them. One of the forums suggested changing the location of the folder back to default using "Properties", but I can't seem to find that option on my computer. I use MacOS and would really like some help deleting dropbox from my computer and then also deleting files from my Dropbox account online. I don't want to try to delete things from my account online until I delete Dropbox from my hard drive, so I don't risk losing anything.

I need to clear up space on my hard drive and I would like to remove ALL dropbox files. I can delete them but I'm concerned this will delete all files for my team. I'm no longer employed by them and have no need for their files. If I delete them, will my former team members still have access to the files?

The majority of Mac applications can be uninstalled just by unceremoniously moving them to the Trash (as long as they are not running at the time, of course). Just drag Adobe Acrobat X Pro to Trash, make sure your mac is still running properly and then empty the bin.

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages. They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3. If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.
