IMS QTI XML Reader

Has anyone built a reader in AS3 that can import IMS QTI 1.1 XML data?
I get the files from Respondus which most of the faculty use to
generate quiz data - i'd like to be able to import it into a flash
file that could then use it to generate a quiz game from. Thoughts?
ideas? anyone tried this before and gave up for any reason?

I haven't, but it sounds very do-able.  AS3 makes working with XML much easier than it was with AS2.
