I am having the problem, the content is made and published in Adobe Captivate 7, passes ADL Conformance Test for for SCORM 2.1. gets uploaded into the SABA 5.3 but when opened, the internet explorer generates error 404, page not found after a pause of a couple of seconds.

Can anybody assist?

Hi Najeeb, any internal link using fixed references to some contento file? Is the server running Linux or windows? Is the server running un https? Maybe some content Os referenced with caps but stored without caps un the package?

all the files are in the zip package without any folder (i-e on the root) the main file name (index file) has filename "Basic Content File.htm"
server is local intranet server. I have verified the references and the filenames they are in the same case and correct.

I would try to substitute blank spaces  by '_' underscores. Maybe saba is  trying to find Basic%20%Content%20%File instead?

Eloyfq's is correct.  Even though the ADL Conformance Test allows them, Saba does not permit spaces in any of the file names in a SCORM package.  First, eliminate spaces from the file names of any files which are linked to your captivate project (like video), then eliminate spaces from your "Project Title" on the Publish dialog box. Republish your project and upload the package to Saba.  Chances are good it will work.

I tried that too; but the problem is the same; do you think it is something with the Flash Files size, the swf file is of 25MB?

Hi again Najeeb,

I can guess that your swf is a streaming content, isn't it? So the swf file should not be a problem. In addition, if there were a timeout, the error won't be an html 404 (the page you requested could not be found).

But it's easy to check & discard, add the swf to the content repository (not as a SCORM) and try to launch it as a user. If it works, you can go on, if not, you will know where the problem is ;)

BR,

Eloy

yes SWF is the streaming content, which is accessed by a webpage; I guess it is not opening the webpage; it gives error 404; Addressing is correctly working on the computer; once it is uploaded into LMS it generates the problem.

Is the swf embeded into the launching html? Or does the html call to another html that really contains the swf?

it intiates the Jscript files, it calls the div "CaptivateContent" to run the file;
