Hi, I have more than 3 years experience in creating E Learning courses for various companies. I have used Actionscript 3.0 and xml to created those modules. But I am new to developing courses using html and Javascript.

I have few doubts:
  1. Is it good to use rapid autoring tools or create course from scratch using html and javascript.
  2. If we want to create course from scratch using html and javascript and make it SCORM compliant, how to create it. If there are any tutorials or documentation or examples on it please provide the links.

Thanks in advance.

You can use rapid authoring tools like Lectora if you don't want to hand-write the HTML and JavaScript code, it's up to you.

There are a lot of HTML-based SCORM course examples online. Rustici Software created their "Golf" examples, which cover MANY different approaches for using HTML and SCORM. (They're not pretty, but they're functional) http://scorm.com/scorm-explained/technical-scorm/golf-examples

And there are many, many more online if you dig around.
