I have a Captivate template file that I found from a Yahoo eLearning
group through a link from an Adobe Captivate blog, on which they
posted the file I'm referencing. I will post in the files section as
"Captivate SCORM Templete."

The file was evidently passed around and started by a guy who had had
a hand in creating the templates for Captivate 1.0, and allows
Captivate to play a little more nicely with SumTotal.

Now this worked well with Captivate 3, and now my client has us using
Captivate 4. Made the migration, found where to place the files and
the new Adobe naming convention (notice the name of the actual file is
"CONNECT.html"

The modifications initially dealt with a lot of errors the stock
Captivate HTML file had in communicating with SumTotal's SCORM 1.2
API: issues with correctly passing score, complete v. incomplete, and
still passing variables after the LMS times out behind a course's open
content window.

Well, seems that last issue has crept up again, and I just confirmed
that the corporate folks have not done an upgrade: still using
SumTotal Enterprise Suite v 7.2.

Can someone take a look at the HTML file and tell me if:
a) is the file overkill
b) is it performing the functions needed for interfacing with the
SumTotal API
c) is it missing anything?

THANKS!!!

I'm actually in the process of rewriting Captivate's SCORM support specifically because of problems we've had when using Captivate with SumTotal. I can tell you the problems are spread out in the ActionScript as well as the HTML. There's no easy fix.

I've finished the AS2 (Captivate 4 and earlier) revision, and am just getting started on AS3 (Captivate 4 + 5).  Stay tuned.

BTW, this is no knock on Andrew, the author of the original SCORM support... it was simply time for an update.  :)
