thano tried to reboot the system and access the system utilities by pressing on F9 while rebooting but here the F9 can not take effetct seems not working have tried with another laptop "i was accessing the server via ilo" but same issue.
The following steps may be performed to clear NVRAM using the system maintenance switch on the system board:
a. Extend the server from the rack, remove the access panel, and locate the system maintenance switch (refer to item 1 in figure 1 below).
b. Move switch S6 from default 'Off' position to 'On', install the access panel and connect the power cable to the walljack and power it on.
c. When a message indicates that a maintenance switch has been turned on and the unit has been reset, power it off, remove the power cable from the walljack. Remove it from the rack, remove the access panel and reverse switch S6 to 'Off' and then power the server back again.
2. Set the BIOS Configurations to Default .
a. Boot the server and press the F9 key in the POST screen to enter the UEFI System Utilities screen.
b.System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) >System Deault Options > Restore Default Manufacturing Settings
Please Note : This option resets all configuration settings to their default manufacturing values. Changes that have been made are lost. If Secure Boot is enabled, related security settings might be lost. You need to reboot the system for changes to take effect.
Hey @dumbell4. We understand your frustration and would love a chance to make things right. Since you are stating you have done a factory reset multiple times with no resolution to your issue, we would like to get things over to our private messages. If you could, please select our name to get to our profile page, or click here. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message. We appreciate your time and look forward to getting that message from you soon to continue helping you.
Hey there, @bmxz_ryan. We see that you are having issues with your headset. We understand how important it is to have a working device and to be able to play your favorite games without any interruptions from random error messages. We would love to help you out and get you back into gaming soon!
Hey there, @Sam9j! Thank you for joining us here on the forums. We would love to see if we can help you out as well to get those pesky system utilities running as they are supposed to. We know how important they are for a solid VR experience.
Have you tried the steps we suggested previously, especially leaving the headset off for 10-20 minutes? This ensures the headset has time to properly restart. If you have already given those steps a shot, please consider attempting a Factory reset:
We would love to know if the System Utilities are running better after that. If not, we'd be happy to review what we can to help you out. You can also message us directly from our Profile Page so we can review steps to take after a factory reset. Just let us know!
Hey again, @Sam9j. Thank you for the picture. We have some information that we would love to share about it! The "No command" screen will appear if the device is not shut off when a factory reset is attempted, or if the volume up button was held instead of the volume down button. Please make sure you have properly turned the headset off and that the volume down button was held instead of the volume up button.
It may take a few tries to get the timing right for holding the buttons, so if it does not work the first time, try again following the instructions. We hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes!
Hey again, @bmxz_ryan. If you have tried the suggestions previously provided, and still have issues, please let us know! We would love to hear how a restart or a factory reset works out for you. You can also contact us directly at any time from our Profile Page if the issues continue.
Hi, I am having the same problem. I have tried what you have said above but when i press the power off button to select it just turns the oculus back on. When it turns on i can only see black with my boundary outlined, then a warning box pops up saying:
the remotes are working but when i click on either app info or close app, it just pops up saying powering off, restarting. the back light goes of for about 2 seconds and then it restarts again. the meta logo rotating, then that warning box again. if i dont think anything another warning box pops up saying:
Again if i try to click either of them options it just powers off straight away. if i dont click anything and let both boxes pop up, it just restarts itself and the process starts again. if i press the menu button nothing happens. i have tried charging it, it makes no difference. i have tried plugging it into my laptop but nothing happens and as its not turned on it wont connect to air link, if i do turn it on and try to connect with the air link it still wont work as i need to accept it on the oculus which isnt switching on! its so annoying and i have an extremely upset 8 year old. please help!
Hey there, @EffTeeGamer! We definitely want for you to be able to enjoy your time in VR, and that is hard if your headset is constantly popping up error messages! Thanks for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you tried, that helps narrow things down for us. You mentioned having trouble selecting the factory reset option through the headset, we would recommend trying to do that from your Quest mobile app. We have a support page with instructions on how to do that here.

Personally I don't like to install many packages I don't need, so I ask here what is the consequences of not installing these utilities. Please in plain language what functionality I will lose or inconvenience I will get.
I often install servers without "Standard system utilities" and then only install what I need later. It works just fine (even with them deselected in tasksel, Debian will still install required packages like dpkg, apt-get etc.) and thus result in fully functional system.
Packages which are necessary for the proper functioning of the system (usually, this means that dpkg functionality depends on these packages). Removing a required package may cause your system to become totally broken and you may not even be able to use dpkg to put things back, so only do so if you know what you are doing. Systems with only the required packages are probably unusable, but they do have enough functionality to allow the sysadmin to boot and install more software.
Important programs, including those which one would expect to find on any Unix-like system. If the expectation is that an experienced Unix person who found it missing would say "What on earth is going on, where is foo?", it must be an important package.[6] Other packages without which the system will not run well or be usable must also have priority important. This does not include Emacs, the X Window System, TeX or any other large applications. The important packages are just a bare minimum of commonly-expected and necessary tools.
These packages provide a reasonably small but not too limited character-mode system. This is what will be installed by default if the user doesn't select anything else. It doesn't include many large applications.
The Commission initiated Rulemaking (R.) 17-07-007 on July 13, 2017 to consider refinements and, if necessary, revise the rules and regulations governing the interconnection of generation, distributed energy resources (DERs) and storage facilities to the electric distribution systems of the Large IOUs. The proceeding is divided into three phases.
Phase 2:Expected to begin in mid-2024, this phase will cover rate setting issues, including distribution upgrade cost sharing and rate setting issues resulting from the implementation of Phase 1.Phase 2 may also include other topics needing that are yet to be determined.
The Interconnection Discussion Forum (IDF) provides an informal venue for utilities, developers, and other stakeholders to explore a wide variety of issues related to interconnection practices and policies. The forum meets at least twice a year in person and/or through online conferencing. Visit the Energy Division's IDF page for more information, including how to join the mailing list and to view previous presentations. For questions related to the IDF e-mail

On October 12, 2017, the Commission approved Resolution ALJ-347 establishing an Expedited Interconnection Dispute Resolution Process as authorized by Assembly Bill 2861 (Ting, 2016). The expedited dispute resolution process will issue binding determinations to electric distribution grid interconnection disputes based on the recommendations of a technical panel within 60 days of the Commission receiving the Application regarding a particular dispute. For a detailed description of the adopted process, please see Exhibit A of Resolution ALJ-347.
AB 2821 is intended to address the inadequacy of the existing interconnection dispute resolution process described in utility tariffs in Section K of Rule 21, which relies on protracted mediation and does not benefit from readily-leveraged technical expertise to review the engineering determinations and upgrade cost allocations that often lead to disputes.
Pursuant to Decision (D.) 14-04-003, the three California IOUs submit interconnection data reports to the CPUC Energy Division on a quarterly basis. Public versions of the reports are made available on our Utility Interconnection Data Reports page.
