For this week, I´ll send a couple little letters, and you can decide what to send and what to keep- or if you don´t have time, you don´t have to send anything.

We do have a Ward Mission Leader, but he´s a Pre Missionary. He helps us a lot, but we end up doing a lot of the planning and coordinating. Actually All of the young women were there- she´s really close with the Young Women and the leaders were there too. Her family unfortunately wasn´t there. They´re indifferent more or less about her membership. This week she and all the Young Women and Young Men are at the Temple in Lima (A really really long bus ride, like 16 or 18 hours). Her testimony is growing, and it´s really exciting to see her grow in the Gospel.

 

On Pdays, we usually get together with our Zone and play volleyball, or have a meal, or talk. It´s really nice and fun to get closer to the other Elders.

I always try and have 20 minutes of cardiovascular, usually jogging in my room and jumping jacks, and alternating days of 10 minutes of muscle or 10 minutes of stretching. It´s really helped me to feel healthy and ready for the day.

My companion is a good friend. I love him so much, and I´m going to miss him. He actually just barely changed, and is going to be a District Leader in Arequipa. I have a new companion coming soon. It´s rare for missionaries who are still in training to change midway through, but both me and one of my companions in the Lima MTC (Elder Russon), have this change. But I love my President, and trust that he´s sending someone that the Lord wants me to be with.

My companion was the one who made the choice to let me do the baptism. It was very kind of him, but I wish that I had practiced a 

little more with Jennifer before the baptism. I had the words down but the actual baptisms we had to do a few times. 

The letter I sent last week about the Book of Mormon was basically my talk- just talking about the importance and how to gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon.

I laughed when I heard that Dad´s the teacher for Caleb´s class. It´s almost exactly what it talks about in Öur Search for Happiness.¨ I´m really glad to hear that you´re doing good financially. 

As for you and the lesson- one of the branch counselors in the MTC felt the same way. The night or day before his talk in Sacrament, he started worrying about how little time he had, about how perhaps he should´ve started earlier, or changed something in his schedule to have more time, or this that and the other. While he his worry amplified, a scripture came to his mind- 

¨Be Still and know that I am God.¨

He said that he felt an immense peace. He said that writing that talk was one of the most spiritual experiences he´s had. It was a privilege to hear. 

Mom, I know that you are fantastic. You are a great Mom, a great teacher, and an incredible person and a constant influence in my life. I love you.
