Hello Friends and Family!

So this week, I went to the Beach! On our free day, we went to Quilca, which is a beach like 30 minutes away from our area. It´s really pretty, and we had a lot of fun. Here´s an epic picture of my nametag there. What seemed most surprising was the fact that there was no one was there! Just this beautiful beach, with empty beaches, beautiful waves, and us. We enjoyed ourselves.

We also had some interesting experiences this week. One was, we knocked on a door, looking for a contact we had made, and an older man, Lucho, opened the door. He told us where our contact was, but then he invited us in. We came in, and started chatting, and he invited us lunch (it was really really good). He lives by himself by the beach, and we just chatted and shared our opinions on different things that we beleived. We talked about happiness and afliction, about good and bad, about the purpose of life, and about the life after this one. We talked about the existence of a God, and the fulness of life that we can live. It was a really really interesting conversation, and it made the three of us think a lot. We said that he wasn´t interested in investigating the church, but he invited us to come back and chat whenever we liked. We gave him a Book of Mormon, and we´re going to go back soon to see how he´s doing.

It was a really fascinating conversation, and I really enjoyed it. But it empasized to me the importance of this gospel- because even though he had his ideas, he didn´t enjoy life, and he said himself like his life was missing purpose. That´s what the Gospel offers- it answers those questions of the soul, and helps us to learn who we are, why we´re here, and where we´re going. It brings a satisfaction to our lives.

We also had a hard day where ALL of our appointments fell through, one after another after another. It taught me and my companion the importnace of being able to plan really well, and have good back up plans.

We also had an incredible experience this week teaching the Restoration. We went to a reference that a sister had given us, and we started chatting, and then we started teaching. As we shared about how God called prophets in old times, and how Christ established his church, the Spirit started to come in. As we kept on about the apostacy, and it continued to grow. When we shared about the First Vision, it was really really strong. We all felt the truth about it, and it was a beautiful experience. It´s the best thing about being a missionary! You get those AWESOME experiences with the Spirit.

I love you all so much! I´m really excited because next week we get to hear from Elder Andersen! Whoo-hoo!
